Artsy’s monthly trend reports are key editorial campaigns that highlight shifts in the global art market. I was tasked with creating a visual identity system for these reports, including the design of accompanying data visualizations. The challenge was to move away from the overly clinical, institutional look often associated with industry reporting and instead develop a framework that felt visually rich and connected to the diversity of the art it covered. To support this, the design approach embraced a mix of digital and analog techniques—for example, incorporating actual risograph scans to add texture and warmth. This reworked approach helped make the reports more engaging and inviting, breaking from cold convention while celebrating the vibrancy of the art world.
