Queer Art Now

2025
As part of Artsy’s 2025 Pride Month initiative, I led the visual identity for Queer Art Now, a curated showcase of contemporary LGBTQ artists at the forefront of their practices. The challenge was to design a system that empowered queer voices without relying on predictable visual tropes, while still engaging Artsy’s broad collector base. I developed a typographic identity inspired by the refraction of light through glass—an abstract yet intentional nod to the rainbow spectrum. This concept became a metaphor for the complexity and resilience of queer expression, brought to life through expressive motion design and bold, shifting letterforms. The final system was energetic, adaptable, and grounded in visibility—centering queer artists not as outsiders, but as innovators.
